A course is the basic teaching unit, it's design as a medium for a student to acquire comprehensive knowledge and skills indispensable in the given field. A course guarantor is responsible for the factual content of the course.
For each course, there is a department responsible for the course organisation. A person responsible for timetabling for a given department sets a time schedule of teaching and for each class, s/he assigns an instructor and/or an examiner.
Expected time consumption of the course is expressed by a course attribute extent of teaching. For example, extent = 2 +2 indicates two teaching hours of lectures and two teaching hours of seminar (lab) per week.
At the end of each semester, the course instructor has to evaluate the extent to which a student has acquired the expected knowledge and skills. The type of this evaluation is indicated by the attribute completion. So, a course can be completed by just an assessment ('pouze zápočet'), by a graded assessment ('klasifikovaný zápočet'), or by just an examination ('pouze zkouška') or by an assessment and examination ('zápočet a zkouška') .
The difficulty of a given course is evaluated by the amount of ECTS credits.
The course is in session (cf. teaching is going on) during a semester. Each course is offered either in the winter ('zimní') or summer ('letní') semester of an academic year. Exceptionally, a course might be offered in both semesters.

Annotation:
The course aims to acquaint students with the tools and procedures of project management in the ICT environment. By completing the course, students will master the various methods and techniques of project management and apply them in practice. Students will get acquainted with the issue of creating an IT product, ie. preparation of business model, creation of financial model and creation of project schedule including basic design of architecture and appearance of the given IT product. At the same time, they will try to present the prepared parts of the project to a jury composed of experts from practice. // This course is a continuation of the bachelor's course Project Management.

Lecture syllabus:
1. Definition of project management: essence, classification of projects, and project portfolios.
2. Organizational structure. Project management methods. Communication and roles in the project team.
3. Project life cycle: initial conditions, planning, design, implementation, closure and evaluation of projects.
4. Techniques and methods of project management.
5. Project risk management.
6. IT product life cycle: definitions, terms.
7. Business Model Canvas creation: Idea, problem characterization and solution. Customers and marketing.
8. Business Case creation: Project schedule, source analysis and costs.
9. Testing methodologies, test cases, scenarios and test plan. Design of test scenarios.
10. Financial management of a product and its marketing.
11. Change management in project life cycle and IT product.
12. Strategic, tactical, and operational management of portfolios, programs, and projects.
13. Quality management standards and tools.

Seminar syllabus:
1. Setting up teams, setting roles in the project. Assignment of semestral project.
2. Building a business case project. Drawing up a schedule. Source analysis. List of questions to the client.
3. Presentation of individual teams. Discussion of questions on the client, reaction of the client.
4. Determination of risk table. Project risk management. Responsibility matrix and communication matrix.
Analysis of processes and design of the project.
5. Presentation of individual teams. Discussion of process and architecture designs.
6. Use Case model and analysis tools.
7. Presentation of individual teams - Use case model.
8. User Stories, wireframes, persons.
9. Assignment to individual teams to solve a problem within the project (a set of predefined problems).
10. Tutorials - final presentation of semestral projects.
